Transform Your Bathroom Into an At-Home Spa
Your master bathroom is one of the more private areas of your home and should feel like a sanctuary. When we were seeing our current home for the first time, the master bathroom was definitely a huge pro. It’s truly a unique space and I couldn’t wait to put my touch on it! Here are some tips & tricks on how to transform your bathroom into a spa-like retreat.
- Add in plants, greenery and/or florals. I added a 4.5′ faux olive tree in a wicker basket next to our tub to add an extra natural feel. If you don’t have a soaking tub, you can add a small plant in a basket or in a pot on a small stand. You can also hang fresh lavender or eucalyptus in your shower (off the shower head) for a real treat!
- Add candles or reed diffusers with relaxing scents. I recently got this “Spa Day” candle from Sweet Water Decor and it smells soooo good!
- Swap out & upgrade basic hand towels for Turkish hand towels. I chose these gorgeous new beige striped towels.
- Use glass or plastic bottles with pretty labels for hand soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, etc.
- Invest in some quality plush bath towels (or may I suggest bath SHEETS – they’re huge). They can be pricy, but they are so worth it – believe me! My favorite ones are from Restoration Hardware (they’re literally the softest, plushest towels).
- Add decorative lidded woven baskets for storage. Store anything from towels, toilet paper, even turn it into a laundry basket if you wish!
- Fill glass or decorative canisters with bath salts, soaks, bath florals – whatever makes YOU happy!
