HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS
The holidays are my favorite time of the year. The hustle and bustle, cozy nights by the fire, gathering with family and friends, holiday parties… I just love all the festivities. It’s also my favorite time of year in our home. I love the lit trees, lush green garlands, and vintage bells. I’m sharing some shots of our home from this year and last as well as my favorite Christmas home finds.
Decorating for the holidays…
Pre-lit branches, lush draping garland, and real-feel Christmas trees are a few of my favorite things.
This draping mixed garland I used on our fireplace this year is a MUST-BUY! It’s very full and long (unlike a lot of garland), so depending on the size of space you’re working with, you really only need 1 strand! I used 2 strands here for a more dramatic look and to drape on either side.
CREATING WARMTH WITH YOUR DECOR
These are my holiday decorating must-haves:
- Lush, green, draping garland and stems for vases
- Real-touch faux Christmas trees (I love the idea and tradition of cutting your own tree at a farm, but this just isn’t realistic for the amount of time we have our own tree up and wanting it to last throughout the season!)
- Mercury glass and rustic earthy ornaments
- Vintage gold bells
- Chunky knit stockings (add customized name tags for an added tough!)
- Luxe, faux fur throws
- Velvet accents such as ribbon, bows
