it’s fall, y’all!
Fall might just be my favorite season here in the midwest. Cool mornings and evenings with warm, sunny afternoons are my jam. Being able to enjoy both a hot and iced latte in the same day makes me happy LOL. With fall comes warm colors, cozy textures, and beautiful mums 🙂
I love decorating for fall and you don’t have to change your entire space. Adding small details such as fall florals, cozy linens, and little pumpkins can make the biggest shift!
In this post I will be sharing some of my favorite fall pieces to help you transition your space. Whether you’re working on your living room, entryway, or kitchen, these choices were made so that they can be versatile throughout your home.
Pillows and throws are a great way to add warm colors and cozy up a space. I prefer to keep it on the neutral side, but like to mix up textures and incorporate patterns. Adding little pops of seasonal color is a great way to change up an entire room without making major changes (such as rugs, furniture).
I tend to keep most of my decor on the neutral/versatile side. By doing this, I’m able to throw in decor for any season/holiday without it clashing with my existing decor. Below are some pieces I added for fall along with pieces that work all year long.
If you’re looking for ways to spice up your walls above console or media tables, my favorite year-round items are mirrors and canvas/frame art. If your go-to is art, changing up an entire piece can get costly. If you like to switch things up like me, I suggest choosing a style frame that fits in the space and switching out what I put inside. I recently received custom frames from Frame It Easy (<– 10% off your first order) and I couldn’t be happier. They offer a very affordable way to create custom frames (down to 1/16 of an inch)! You get to chose art size, style, color, matting size (or no matting), and cover (glare vs. no glare).
Family photos always work well for frames around the house. Make the photo black and white if the color scheme doesn’t match what you’re going for. If I’m going for a seasonal look, Collection Prints is my go-to. She offers many different styles to help you achieve your decor goals. I included a few of my favorite prints from her autumn collection. Prints are the way to go if you like to switch up your artwork from time to time, like me 🙂 She also many different sizes (and framing, if you need it) and offers digital downloads at a fraction of the price.
