FALL HOME STYLING
Fall Front Porch Styling Tips & Hacks
One of my favorite parts of transitioning seasons is being able to decorate our home, both indoors and outdoors. It’s the perfect time to start adding those seasonal touches to your front porch, whether you go with faux or real accents!
Being in the Midwest, the weather is harsh regardless of the season. The fall brings a mix of temperatures ranging from hot and sunny to cold and snowy. With this in mind, I have finally made the switch to faux pumpkins, flowers, and plants—and it has been a game changer!
See below my tips on how to achieve a beautiful fall front porch look, without the maintenance, and at a very affordable price point too!
transitional & timeless fall front porch styling
For the last two years, I have styled these faux mums and Cedar Pine trees on our front porch, and I have fooled so many people! They’re UV-resistant, weatherproof, zero-maintenance, and no drama! I love the pop of color and how real they actually feel. The best part—they’re affordable Amazon finds!! The mums come in a handful of colors too, and I have even more faux autumn plants on my storefront!
As for pumpkins, I have made the switch to faux as well. Although I absolutely love the look of real pumpkins, they don’t last on our front porch! Being that we live in a rural suburb, we receive a lot of direct sunlight and many animals throughout our yard (IYKYK), and this combination has resulted in a lot of eaten and rotten pumpkins in the past. You can find faux pumpkins at all price points—affordable to high-end. I have a mix here of styles, sizes, colors, and textures. The variation juxtaposed creates interest and dimension on our front porch, providing an overall elevated look and feel.
When it comes to styling your front porch this fall season, if you want to create a look that is timeless, low-maintenance, and elevated, I absolutely believe faux is the way to go. Faux is my biggest styling tip and hack for creating a look you’ll love, and it’s affordable too! You only have to purchase these pieces once, and you can use them for years to come. You can shop my entire front porch here!
