Console Styling Details

I love switching out my console decor periodically to bring in elements of design that match the current trends and the season that we’re in! I recently made some changes to our console in our entryway, inspiring me to share some of the tips that I always use when styling any console!

My first tip is to find a console that you love and that has room for styling pieces! This wall in our foyer is on the smaller side, so I went with this small black console table with an open shelf and it’s the perfect size! We have had this piece for years—it’s from Target and right around $100 too! Reminder—you don’t have to splurge to have a beautiful home!

I always add a mirror or piece of artwork to center the table! I recently grabbed this organic mirror from Ethnik Living, and it’s gorgeous! It is the perfect size, and just what this space needed! I also love adding artwork above consoles if they’re in a family room or living space where a mirror isn’t always needed. For a foyer, I love a mirror for quick touch-ups as I’m walking out the door!

Adding a table lamp is a great way to introduce texture, height, and color! I love this dark olive green lamp from Target! It’s an affordable find, and it introduces an element of color which I love.

Once the grounding pieces are in place, I finish off the table with styling pieces! I always added a vase with some faux florals for both height and texture. I also love adding in coffee table books! Books are an inexpensive way to decorate, and they bring so much dimension to a look through layers. Add your favorite tray and candle, any other little boxes or objects you love, and your space is complete!
