Transitioning Beckham’s Room: Nursery To Big Boy Bedroom
One of our home projects last year was transitioning Beckham’s nursery into a big boy bedroom—a space that was functional, intentional, and could grow with him for years to come!
When the time comes to transition a nursery into a room for a toddler, it can be bittersweet. Not only does it mean your little one is getting bigger, but if you’re like me, you loved creating a nursery space and don’t want to see it go! With Beckham’s nursery, I was very intentional with the color palette, textiles, lighting, and decor pieces. All of my selections were pieces that were timeless and I knew would grow with him and the room!
When it came time to take his crib down, I loved that we only truly had to replace his bed and bedding. I switched out a few other things too, but it wasn’t a necessity! This kept his room comfortable and familar for him too, which is always a bonus when trying to transition out of a crib!
My favorite piece we added to his room is this Storage Bed by Castlery! It’s the perfect bed frame to grow with him into adult years, and the added underbed storage is great for all stages of life!

These are 10 of my favorite pieces that we added to Beckham’s room to help transition it from a nursery to a big boy room! We had this beautiful storage bed and nightstand set already, so this transition was relatively easy and inexpensive. If you have a crib that converts to a full-size bed, be sure to utilize that feature if you can to save even more in the long run!
