What are the details on your new sofa?
After sharing our new sofa from Sixpenny Home briefly on my Instagram, I have received a handful of questions about it! So many of you love the style, size, and color, and want all the details on it! It’s not linkable through LTK unfortunately, so this post will explain all the selections I made for this new piece, and why I love it so much!

What kind of…
Fabric, fill, size?
Fabric: Washed Cotton Velvet in Daily Bread – I am LOVING this color! It’s the perfect light brown, earthy color to add to our great room. It’s a loose slipcover fabric, so removing it for cleaning is easy.
Fill: I love a fluffy sofa! There are two options for fill, and we went with the feather down fill. The Neva soft has 5 layers of cushioning— 3 layers of high density foam, and 2 layers of feather down fill.
Size: Since we already have a larger sectional in our space, we went with the smallest option for size—their 72″ sofa! It comes in three sizes total (72″ , 84″ , and 96″)
Noteworthy Features
WASHABILITY. For our particular sofa style, the Neva, there is a loose slipcover. Keep in mind, slipcovers aren’t fully attached like regular upholstery, so there will be some movement. I love that the slipcover allows for us to remove them and get them dry cleaned / machined washed (dependent on fabric selection). What I also love, is that you can purchase slipcovers separately should you ever need to do so!
CUSTOMIZABILITY. Sixpenny Home offers both made to order pieces as well as customizable options. If you’re looking for a faster turn around, they have styles available in more common fabric / color selections that allow for you to enjoy the comfort and style at a quicker pace. However, if you’re wanting to select something that is truly ‘made for your space’ you have the ability to do so. You can choose from a variety of lengths, fill options, and fabrics. Most styles have over 30 fabric options.
COMFORT. I can totally understand the hesistancy that comes when purchasing a sofa (or any furniture) online, as you aren’t able to sit on it prior. What I love about Sixpenny is they offer various fill options to ensure a comfortable seat for everyone. You can choose from their poly fill or feather down fill dependent on how soft you like your cushion.
